HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Please review Services & Fees
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I am considered an Out-of-Network provider. However, depending on if your your insurance plan reimburses for out-of-network services, I can provide you with a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please note, I am not a Medicare / Medicaid provider, and unfortunately am legally not permitted to see patients who are on that plan, even if they pay cash only
HOW LONG WILL I NEED TO BE IN THERAPY?
What therapy looks like depends a lot on you and your goals. For some issues or dealing with a particular situational stressors, patients can make progress in 3-4 months, but for other issues (for example, when dealing with trauma or severe depression), patients will usually need to be in longer term therapy, perhaps for several years. In general, I recommend starting with a weekly rhythm of therapy in order to build a therapeutic relationship and explore the fundamental issues. Over time, the frequency can be decreased.
DO YOU SEE PATIENTS WITH TELEHEALTH?
For patients who are in the state of Massachusetts, I can see patients via telehealth. In general, I recommend that the first session or several sessions are in person, before switching to virtual. Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, I cannot see patients who are out of the state or out of the country during the time of our visit, even if they maintain residence in Massachusetts.

POLICIES
CANCELLATION POLICY
Appointments must be canceled 48 hours prior to the appointment time or rescheduled within the same workweek (if open slots exist) in order to avoid paying a cancelation fee. The cancelation fee is the cost of the session and is due at the time of a missed session. Multiple no-shows or late cancelations may result in discharge from the practice. You are responsible for this fee regardless of whether or not you receive a reminder of your appointment.
Limited exceptions may be medical or family emergencies on a case-by-case basis.
COMMUNICATIONS
Brief phone calls of 5 minutes or less are not charged. Patients will be asked to schedule an appointment for longer, more complicated questions. Phone and e-mail messages are not checked regularly after hours, on holidays, or on the weekends. The Practice will reply to messages sent after-hours the following business day. All scheduling requests should be made during normal office hours.
CONTROLLED MEDICATIONS
I do not prescribe controlled substances (e.g. benzodiazepines, stimulants) at our first visit, and after evaluating a patient's diagnosis and medical condition, I will determine whether it is appropriate to continue or taper off these medications as appropriate.
PAPERWORK / FORMS / LETTERS
Paperwork for school, work, accommodations, leave of absence, etc. should be discussed during appointment times
I only provide clinical services, and do not provide forensic (legal) services, as a forensic role requires an impartiality that conflicts with our therapeutic relationship. As such, I do not provide attestation for emotional support animals, and do not provide services related to divorce proceedings / child custody issues.
